The Mk Bookcase System was born in 1928 from the ideas of intrepid avant-garde Mogens Koch. The master sees in this project the new bookcase system dedicated to modern homes. His work was so successful that there was a huge number of reproductions and copies even beyond the borders of Denmark.
The Mk Bookcase System provides for the assembly of eight different modules that can be used individually or combined at will. The modules can be fixed to the wall or placed on the floor, used vertically or horizontally. Each module is made entirely of solid oak or walnut.
The modular Mk Bookcase System by Danish company Carl Hansen & Son demonstrates the intelligence and avant-garde character of Nordic design. This simple modular system adapts to every need: from space, to capacity, to functionality.
