The timeless 2097/50 pendant lamp by the Italian company Flos, designed by Gino Sarfatti, was created in 1958. A lighting system so contemporary that it seems impossible to believe that it was conceived more than 60 years ago.
The 2097/50 chandelier by the Italian company Flos is a special design with grouped light sources. The designer wanted to give a modern take on the classic salon chandelier with crystals and candles. A central cylindrical iron structure supports 50 slender brass tubular arms at the end of which is a light bulb. The arms are arranged in a radial pattern and are all perfectly straight, unlike the classic salon chandelier archetype with curved, decorative arms. Instead, the light bulb cables are inserted just below the brass arms and left deliberately soft. Both the central cylindrical structure and the 50 arms of the 2097/50 chandelier are available in chrome or gold.
