What gives the image of brokenness, appears to the eye as something to be loved and protected, almost admired.
In the minds of two architectural artists such as Fredrikson Stallard who created the Basalt coffee table for the Italian company Driade, there has always been an idea of something becoming more beautiful when it is fragmented, combined with a belief in the importance of remembering and preserving it over time. The Basalt coffee table by Driade is one of those furnishing objects that are difficult to forget. The structure is made of drawn steel with a polished gold finish, which immediately stands out in the room, giving it elegance and refinement. The top is made of lightened concrete, then coated in slate-grey wax, all fragmented and perfectly defined in detail.
The Basalt coffee table by Driade is available in two different sizes, almost similar but both very distinctive. It is an excellent piece of furniture that can be used as a bedside table or as an addition to the living room.
