The Limes New sofa is a modular system created by designer Sergio Bicego for the well-know furniture brand Saba Italia. The first model was introduced in 2002, but the design later underwent a restyling project and was first displayed at the 2019 Milan Furniture Fair.
The Limes New sofa by Saba is characterized by an asymmetrical cut and an informal yet innovative design. Bicego took inspiration from philosopher Heraclitus' aphorism "everything flows," meaning that this design goes beyond temporary trends, standards and conventions and offers many possibilities to rearrange the modules in order to best suit our tastes.
The Limes New sofa by Saba features a wooden structure padded with polyurethane foam covered with velfodera coupled to polyester fiber. The supports of back and armrest cushions are in metal with glossy chrome or black nickel finish and, upon request, they can be upholstered with a fabric cover or with fabric bands. The seat cushions are padded with polyurethane foam and covered with velveteen coupled to polyester fiber.
