French designer Jean Marie Massaud designed the Grantorino armchair collection for Poltrona Frau with elegant and original lines, inspired by the luxury of the world of upholstery. The frame is made of tubular metal with interwoven elastic straps, while the backrests and armrests are made of birch plywood. Cut and shaped by hand, the leather closely follows and enhances the lines and geometries of the seat. The high and slim armrest and the low armrest are also complex and carefully crafted, and are available in a container version that conceals an elegant tray in natural oak. The backrest cushions are padded with goose feathers in separate horizontal chambers to achieve a differentiated and anatomical level of comfort.
