Looking at it today, the Lampadina table lamp may seem like a trivial chlicé but we assure you that it was not so back in 1972, when the genius of Achille Castiglioni first presented it. Lampadina was not immediately understood by its contemporaries, but this confirms to us once again that, over forty-five years ago, master Achille Castiglioni and the Italian company Flos were writing the current history of Italian design.
The Lampadina table lamp was born out of a strong fascination with the subtraction of elements from a design combined with a street trend that Castiglioni and the Italian company Flos had already sensed at the time. The circular base is made of aluminum and serves both as a support and as a rewinder for the electric cable, the bulb holder is made of bakelite and comes in black and orange while the lux globe bulb is made of clear glass with partial white sandblasting that screens and shades the light.
Lampadina is a table lamp from the Italian company Flos with a street and industrial character, a raw jewel to be jealously guarded. It isuitable for living rooms, kitchens, sleeping areas, it is perfect for contract spaces where you can surprise your guests, and it is also suitable for meeting rooms, waiting rooms or offices with a sophisticated flair.
