The north pole joins the south pole with a strip that holds the heart of the lamp tight and compact. The metal rods that shape it are necessary to allow the light to be filtered by a screen before expanding clearly into the atmosphere.
''Spokes'' is the name of this lamp by Foscarini, which is exceptional not only in the shape but especially because of the idea out of which it was born: the spokes of a bicycle wheel. Starting from an everyday, mundane action such as the movement of a bicycle, this activity was materialized through a design creation suitable for any context. Despite its lightness, its solidity is evident from the material used specifically for this purpose.
