The Air bookcase by Italian company Lago was designed in 2006 by Daniele Lago. The composition respects the company's credo of avant-garde furniture with glass legs.
The idea of the bookcase as we know it is totally inverted by shifting the weight onto the storage elements such as compartments or shelves instead of onto the load-bearing elements (usually the heaviest and thickest) which are here made of glass. The Air bookcase is finished at 360° and this allows you to position a wall-mounted wall unit as well as in the middle of the room, taking the form of a partition. Air, like every Lago project, offers unparalleled freedom of composition, taking the user inside the project itself, which he defines and designs. You can choose between glass elements, lacquered in 32 colours and 3 natural solid wood finishes.
Air bookcase is presented here in composition 0559 characterised by shelves in white, clay, dark blue, white matt lacquered finish and a shelf in natural wildwood.
