More than a table, Akim by GALLOTTI & RADICE is a newly designed table system with a very refined line, made in various shapes and with important dimensions. The Akim table is made up of two wooden bases, covered with crystal and shaped like an octagon with sides of different sizes, the finishing of which can be mirror or chosen from the wide assortment of colours in the sample book made available by GALLOTTI & RADICE. The rectangular glass top with square corners or with the two ends in a semi-circle is placed on the two bases.
The central part of the plane is crossed along its axis by an octagonal shape, also with sides of different sizes, obtained by back-painting the surface in the same colour as the plinths.
Akim also lends itself to being modular, to obtain tables of special dimensions, adding bases and creating customised tops for various purposes. On request, and very useful for conference tables, cable routing systems are produced which, sliding in the bases, reach a metal channel under the central part of the table top and from there arrive at any point of the table, allowing the use of personal computers, microphones or other multimedia devices.
