A formal sofa with sober, well-proportioned lines, Andy was designed in 2013 by Paolo Piva exclusively for B&B Italia and immediately became a protagonist, thanks above all to its many compositional solutions and technical features.
At first glance one can see how the proportions of the seat, armrest and backrest manage to form effective and aesthetically pleasing geometric volumes. The Andy B&B Italia sofa has two fundamental features: the first is the pull-out seat. With a very simple movement it is possible to increase the seat depth by about 20 cm, taking it from 117 cm to 138 cm, allowing you to lie down in an extremely comfortable seat. The second characteristic lies in the backrest, which can be used in two different positions: when horizontal, the height is lower and the composition is more furnishing and contemporary, when vertical, the height rises slightly, providing extreme comfort for the back.
Andy by B&B Italia rests on a beautiful aesthetic and functional base, available in polished chrome or black chrome. The composition is completed by a series of loose cushions of various sizes that have different functions: to provide targeted lumbar support, to ensure enveloping support for a large portion of the back, to reduce the depth to ensure formal seating.
The Andy sofa by B&B Italia is also made using state-of-the-art technical materials: the structure features an internal frame in tubular and steel sections, around which the Bayfit cold-pressed polyurethane padding is moulded, guaranteeing unrivalled resistance over time and comfort.
There is a wide range of upholstery available, from fabrics of various compositions (completely removable covers) to elegant leathers.
