Artemide's Flexia lamp represents a meeting of innovative design, cutting-edge technology and a strong commitment to sustainability. Inspired by the art of papyrus and Japanese origami, Flexia is a work that plays with perceptions between the visible and the invisible, between matter and light. Its elegant and refined design embodies the essence of lighting that is not only functional, but also an element of space transformation, capable of fluidly adapting to its surroundings.
Designed by Mario Cucinella, an architect known for his sustainable and holistic approach, Flexia is the result of a perfect fusion of Artemide's lighting expertise and design innovation. Its acoustic panel is designed to control reverberation by absorbing sound waves reflected in the environment, thus improving the acoustic quality of spaces. Thanks to the patented Discovery technology developed by Ernesto Gismondi, Flexia emits diffuse, uniform and comfortable light, meeting UGR standards for workplace lighting.
Flexia's flexible wings, equipped with a rotation mechanism that allows inclinations from 0° to 30°, offer extraordinary versatility, allowing light to be calibrated to specific needs. Every element, from shape to materials, is designed to work primarily on human speech frequencies, creating a bright and acoustically harmonious environment.
In addition, Flexia is an example of responsible design: its outer fabric is made from 100 per cent recycled PET, while the inner panel comes from waste materials, demonstrating how sustainability can be combined with aesthetics and functionality. By combining several modules, Flexia makes it possible to create perfectly balanced light and soundscapes, improving the quality of rooms and meeting modern requirements for lighting and acoustic comfort. A lamp that not only illuminates, but also enriches any space with intelligence and beauty.
