The Biagio table lamp was designed in 1968 by Tobia Scarpa and produced by the Italian company Flos. With its lines, shapes and techniques, it seems impossible to believe that it was produced in the 1970s, but the visionary genius of Tobia Scarpa really did give us this design icon that still amazes today.
The Biagio table lamp is carved from a single block of hand-carved Carrara white statuary marble. The extremely particular shape of this lamp gives it two light points that allow it to illuminate the space in which it is located in a direct and important way. The soft curves play in contrast to the solidity of the marble and seem to draw the profile of ancient fossil shells as if in the presence of a spontaneous, primordial light.
The Biagio lamp by the Italian company Flos is able to evoke distant emotions and images and to make the space in which it is located extremely personal. Particularly suitable for enthusiasts who are always on the lookout for new, interesting, iconic objects and cannot afford not to have a piece of history in their favourite spaces. Suitable for living, sleeping and contract areas as well as waiting areas in offices or offices themselves.
