The BM0489S Table Bench ottoman by Carl Hansen & Son is a modern, pared-down reinterpretation of the minimalist bench designed by Børge Mogensen in 1958. Together with the bench of the same name, they were initially conceived with the intention of creating multifunctional and durable furniture. Today they are re-proposed with a fresh, organic look to suit contemporary needs.
Made of solid oiled oak, the ottoman features an FSC™-certified, double-weave paper cord seat, hand-woven by skilled craftsmen who spend six hours working the 335 metres of cord required to complete the piece of furniture. This new interpretation creates an elegant fusion of two organic materials: beautifully rounded oak and tightly woven paper cord.
