The Carl Hansen & Son KK97170 Safari Footstool was designed by Esben's son Kaare Klint in memory of his father. Easily assembled without tools, the footstool matches the Safari Chair, one of the world's first do-it-yourself pieces of furniture.
The white oiled ash frame is skilfully handcrafted by skilled Danish artisans, resulting in tapered legs and rounded edges. The seat, made only of linen cloth, provides maximum support, continuing the aesthetics of the Safari Chair, and for added comfort a foam padded cushion upholstered in leather or cloth is provided. The KK97170 Safari Footstool from Carl Hansen & Son is embellished with refined leather straps that echo the look of the explorer, always on the move in faraway lands.
The footstool ensures that the seat is comfortable, allowing the legs to stretch out and the feet to lift a little off the ground. An ideal position for relaxing, resting and reading a book. The Carl Hansen & Son KK97170 Safari Footstool is a decorative and functional piece of furniture, a simple form enhanced by the use of organic materials, expressing the Danish design concept at its best.
