Designed in 1928 and consecrated as a design icon in 1965 by Cassina, the 4 Chaise Longue à Réglage Continu is the chaise longue par excellence: a celebration of relaxation, born from the desire of Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand to place the human being at the centre of the project. Its shape, perfectly balanced between geometric rigour and physical comfort, embodies the harmony between aesthetics and function.
Today, Cassina reinterprets this masterpiece with sustainable materials and design solutions that facilitate disassembly. The mattress is padded with recycled polyester wadding, while the headrest is made of blown fibre of the same material. The inside of the mattress is now secured with Velcro for greater practicality.
The welcoming lines of the chaise longue are designed to offer a totally relaxing experience. The half-moon tubular steel frame, elegantly left exposed, supports the seat and rests on a black painted structure. The bolster cushion, secured with refined buckles reminiscent of sartorial details, adds a touch of comfort and style. The mattress cover is available in smooth leather or leather with fur, for an even more refined look.
Chaise Longue à Réglage Continu Cassina furnishes the living spaces of contemporary homes with class and personality, offering a sophisticated corner where design meets well-being. An invitation to contemplation, reflection and beauty.
