Designed in 1947 by Charlotte Perriand for the Méribel Les Allues winter sports resort and for the Hôtel Doron—one of the first chalet-hotels in the area—Cassina's Doron Hotel armchair was born from a deep connection with the mountains and nature. Perriand, a pioneer in combining design and the environment, was able to integrate natural materials into her projects with sensitivity and vision, anticipating an approach that is now more relevant than ever.
Today, Doron Hotel Outdoor is available in a version designed for outdoor use, made of solid teak with soft, essential lines. The refined, harmonious structure plays on joints and crossbars, creating a welcoming, balanced seat. Comfort is ensured by light polyurethane foam padding and a sloping backrest, which appears to be suspended, lending lightness and dynamism to the whole.
The water-repellent fabric covering, in perfect harmony with the texture of the wood, gives the armchair a sober elegance and a summery character. Designed to enrich outdoor living areas, it blends naturally with sofas and coffee tables, inviting moments of relaxation and conviviality, and adding a sophisticated and refined touch to outdoor spaces.
Also ideal for outdoor contract environments—such as hotel terraces, suite balconies and open-air lounge bars—the Cassina Doron Hotel Outdoor enhances any setting with its distinctive style and warm, welcoming presence.
