The Fiandra sofa by Cassina is a refined reinterpretation of the famous model designed by Vico Magistretti in 1975. Designed to meet the needs of contemporary living, it stands out for its modular and welcoming design, with a large, comfortable seat with generous, lowered proportions.
Its silhouette is defined by a continuous line composed of large seat cushions, low backrests and compact armrests, harmoniously integrated into the structure. The backrest seems to curve slightly, as if pushed by the embedded armrest, giving the sofa a soft and inviting appearance.
Fiandra also stands out for its focus on sustainability: the belted seat features polyurethane foam padding of varying densities, with a percentage of bio-based or recycled polyols, in line with an increasingly circular approach to material selection.
The structural innovations of this reissue also extend to the interior: the traditional wooden panels and metal supports have been replaced by a single powder-coated steel structure, eliminating the co-moulded frame of the seat for a more essential and resistant construction.
Available in linear or modular versions, the Cassina Fiandra sofa adapts versatilely to any space thanks to a joining system that allows the modules to be assembled without overturning the structure. Perfect for large, convivial spaces, the Fiandra sofa becomes the centrepiece of the living room, with its discreet elegance and comfort designed for moments of relaxation and socialising.
