Cassina's Hayama collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola, is an invitation to travel through furniture, inspired by the traditional Japanese Haori jacket worn over the kimono. The series includes a storage unit, a bar cabinet, a sideboard and a console table, each designed to combine aesthetics and functionality in contemporary environments.
The Cassina Hayama storage unit stands out for its iconic structure, characterised by slanted legs that interact with the horizontality of the upper part, creating an essential and dynamic shape. This geometric balance blends with the ancient art of lacquering, an expression of Meda's craftsmanship excellence. Inside, three shelves offer space for plates, glasses and table accessories, enhanced by an LED lighting system integrated between the door and the edge.
The bar cabinet, on the other hand, plays with visual depth thanks to a mirror that frames an extra-clear glass shelf on three sides. The lower part, consisting of two central drawers and two side compartments, is also illuminated by LEDs, creating a sophisticated and functional atmosphere.
Both pieces of furniture can be customised with smooth or canneté-effect doors to enhance the contrast between the sloping lines of the structure and the verticality of the façade. Designed for living rooms and day areas with a modern and refined taste, they bring a touch of bold and refined design, capable of enriching the space with elegance and colour.
