Designed in 1955 by Ico Parisi, Cassina's Olimpino table stands out for its slender and sophisticated structure, a masterpiece of sculptural design that combines formal audacity and construction mastery. Considered by Parisi himself to be a central element of the home, Olimpino has accompanied his career, evolving over time through the use of different materials.
The supporting structure, made of square-section tubular metal, consists of two pairs of Y-shaped uprights: the upper inner arms join under the ends of the top, while the outer arms diverge, locking the rectangular monolithic tempered glass slab in place with an elegant brass side clamp. The legs, precisely paired, are connected by a double metal crossbar that divides at the sides to form a double "V", giving dynamism and stability to the entire structure.
Details such as the solid wood arrow feet and brass screws further enrich the design, emphasising the craftsmanship and distinctive character of the project. The glass top, available in different colours, in the transparent float version allows you to admire the structure from every angle, creating a refined dialogue between industrial materials, modernity and elegance.
The Cassina Olimpino table recalls the iconic styles of the 1950s and comes in two sizes and a single height, adapting with versatility to different space requirements. Its generous proportions make it the ideal centrepiece for the dining area, offering a convivial environment where aesthetics and functionality come together in natural harmony.
