Designed in 1952 by Charlotte Perriand for her studio in Montparnasse, the Cassina Petit Bureau En Forme Libre desk was born from the desire to bring the warmth of wood and the freedom of organic shapes to the creative space. Fluid, sinuous lines, to be traced with the eye and with gestures, give life to a piece of furniture that embodies the essence of intuitive design.
Reintroduced by Cassina with its timeless elegance, the desk stands out for its soft, welcoming shapes, free of sharp edges and rich in personality. It is made of solid Canaletto walnut, mahogany with a matt finish or matt lacquered MDF, and features an asymmetrical, slightly curved top supported by three elliptical legs arranged in a triangle: two inclined towards the centre and one, wider, perpendicular to the others.
The discreet and refined charm of the Cassina Petit Bureau En Forme Libre desk fits naturally into private studies, creating a personal corner dedicated to study, work or reading. At the same time, its sculptural and sophisticated presence makes it an ideal decorative accessory for representative environments, where design becomes an expression of style and identity.
