Tre Pezzi by Cassina, designed in 1959 by Franco Albini with Franca Helg, is one of the most refined modern interpretations of the bergère armchair. Its generous, padded forms combine minimalism with maximum comfort, offering an enveloping and sophisticated seating experience.
The structure is divided into three distinct elements: a deep seat, a lumbar support ring and a crescent-shaped headrest. Each component maintains its own formal identity, highlighted by clean, well-defined geometries. The tubular metal frame, inspired by scaffolding tubes, recalls the handrails of the Milan Metro in the curve of the armrest, also designed by the same designers.
Ergonomics are guaranteed by the welcoming shape of the three elements and the polyurethane foam and polyester wadding padding, which envelops the body with balance and support. Upholstered with fabrics from the collection, either matching or contrasting with the exposed frame, the Cassina Tre Pezzi armchair retains a strong visual presence and surprising contemporary appeal.
The Cassina reissue faithfully respects the original design, offering a piece of designer furniture that enriches any environment. Its vintage and industrial charm fits naturally into the living room, alongside sofas and armchairs, as an inviting seat for moments of relaxation and conviviality.
