Ditre Italia Marabù armchair is the result of both a functional and aesthetic contrast, from a project by designer Paolo Grasselli. A soft and welcoming seat whose voluminous body is supported by a suspended structure that seems to make it float in mid-air.
The structure made of solid fir wood bearing elements with structural elements of multilayer wood panels gives stability and strength, while the comfortable seat is provided by elastic belts of criss-crossed and mechanically pre-tensioned propylene fibre and latex. The curved backrest extends to form armrests, giving a cosy look as if the armchair wanted to embrace you. The generous volumes, the upholstery of which is covered in Tecnoform, are suspended by the curved tubular frame that originates from the armrests. An invisible detail is the transparent methacrylate central foot.
