The Asteria suspension lamp by Foscarini reinterprets the concept of the chandelier, reducing it to its essentials in a perfect synthesis of function and decoration. Its sober and refined formal language finds balance in the quality of the light, the soft curves and the dynamic composition of the arms. Designed by Alberto and Francesco Meda, Asteria brings together form, materials and LED technology in a contemporary and sophisticated design.
The collection is available in different configurations: from the single-level version with six arms, available in three sizes, to the spectacular Multi version with eighteen arms arranged on three overlapping and staggered levels, for a rich and dynamic visual effect. The two available colours — dark red and titanium — enhance its stage presence and discreet elegance, making it the protagonist of the space.
Versatile and distinctive, Asteria adapts naturally to residential and contract contexts. The curved arms in extruded aluminium, with a triangular section, integrate the light source in the upper part, generating an upward reflected light that contributes to soft and enveloping ambient lighting. In the centre, a cylindrical element connects the arms and houses a downward-facing LED spotlight, ideal for illuminating tables or specific areas with precision and visual comfort.
Thanks to the dual ignition system, the light output of the arms and spotlight can be controlled separately, modulating the atmosphere according to the moment and the needs of the space.
