The Cassina Feltri armchair was created in the heart of the company's Research Centre, a hotbed of experimentation and design innovation. Here, Gaetano Pesce brought the project to life, studying and applying a sophisticated production technique patented by Cassina. Today, Feltri is celebrated on the leading modern antiques and collectibles websites, the perfect synthesis of a figurative language that moves between art and functionality.
With its mouldable appearance and unique profile, Feltri catches the eye at first glance, transforming itself into a veritable piece of sculptural furniture. Made entirely of thick wool felt, it combines a soft, mouldable backrest with a rigid, structured base reinforced with thermosetting resin. The seat is secured with hemp ties, which also elegantly outline the upper perimeter of the seat. Inside, a quilted mattress padded with polyester wadding offers maximum comfort.
The Cassina Feltri armchair is highly customisable: the cushion can be upholstered in a wide selection of fabrics, which can be coordinated with the six new colours of the structure, for a total of ten available variants. Whether in a domestic living room or a contract environment, Feltri imposes its presence with recognisable, welcoming and elegant shapes.
