The Tacchini Addistional System armchair, like the sofa in the same family, is composed of unusually shaped modules that create unique and variable seating configurations. Its appeal created by the sinuous shape of the modules respects the original spirit of Joe Colombo's 1967 design.
Composed of a wooden frame covered with polyurethane foam in different densities, the armchair provides comfort and solidity thanks to the ergonomic studies carried out in the 1960s. The different cushions that make up the armchair have six different heights and are supported by a thin aluminium base that gives them the illusion of being set in constant balance. The removable cover is available in either fabric or leather to suit the environment and personal taste.
The play created by the cushions of the Tacchini Additional System armchair composes a piece of designer furniture that is ergonomic yet characterised by a light-hearted elegance. The different dynamic and flexible combinations created vary by the number of elements and the way they are positioned. Thanks to its modularity, the armchair enriches the spaces in which it is placed either on its own or as a complement to an existing piece of furniture.
The Tacchini Additional System armchair provides elegant and refined design furniture that embellishes the living area with its timeless, 'futuristic' appeal even 50 years later. Additional System joins the family of the same name composed of sofas, daybeds and ottomans with sinuous and distinctive shapes that decorate the space without neglecting ergonomics.
