In today's modern concept of furniture design, the four-poster bed is once again regarded as a real fireplace for the sleeping area. With the Volare bed by Poltrona Frau, Italian designer Roberto Lazzeroni traces his aerial and light vision of the classic canopy bed. The precise design gives shape to an important structure, luxurious in its workmanship and natural materials, yet discreet and measured.
Poltrona Frau's Volare bed has a canopy structure, in solid ash with a triangular section with a mocha finish, tapered towards the top that gradually tapers and lightens. The bed frame is made of toulipier wood entirely upholstered in Cuoio Saddle Extra or Pelle Frau leather, as is the headboard, which is made of solid beech with internal crossbars in birch plywood and faesite panel fillings. Two rich, soft cushions, padded with polyester wadding and cotton cloth, are attached to the headboard by two leather straps.
The Volare bed by Poltrona Frau becomes an oasis of comfort and rest, perfect for the centre of the room and for large spaces. A warm and welcoming object in the colours, padding and combinations of leather, hide, wood and fabric. The design of the structure anchors this "flying carpet" to the ground, devoted to absolute comfort and with contemporary lines.
