The CH417 Tray Table by Danish company Carl Hansen & Son was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1970 and, like many of his other works, has the incredible power to transcend time and fashion and still appear relevant today.
CH417 Tray Table is characterised by a folding steel base and a decomposable wooden top that has the dual function of a tray and a top. The upper part of the table is round and has a steel handle that is useful when used as a tray. The CH417 top/tray is also reversible and available in the laminate combination white/black or in the oak/smoked oak variant.
It is incredible to believe that the CH417 Tray Table was born in the 1970s, but it is precisely this that demonstrates once again the genius of Hans J. Wegner, who has always been able to create timeless objects.
