Part of the Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret collection, the Cassina Committee Chair was originally designed as a piece of furniture for the prestigious Capitol Complex in the Indian city of Chandigarh. Designed by Le Corbusier together with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret, this iconic chair has now been reissued with absolute respect for the original design, keeping its charm and historical identity intact.
With its sober and balanced lines and characteristic inverted V-shaped side supports, the Committee Chair is available in both the classic version with armrests and a new version without armrests, designed to adapt versatilely to living and dining spaces. The structure, available in teak or natural and black-stained oak, harmonises with the polyurethane foam and recycled PET fibre padding, offering a comfortable and sustainable seat.
The fabric or leather upholstery is completely removable for easy maintenance, particularly around the armrests. The cushions are enhanced by an elegant piped edge, which emphasises their geometric shapes with understated refinement.
Perfect for environments with a refined taste and an appreciation for historical design, the Cassina Committee Chair stands out both in the dining room, where it stylishly frames the table, and in the living room, where it adds a welcoming and distinctive touch. An icon that continues to convey the beauty of the original design, with a contemporary look.
