The Gubi Pedrera coffee table pays homage to the sensory depth of the first, much-loved design that Spanish architect Barba Corsini created in 1955 for the interiors of La Pedrera. Placed at the centre of the living room, in front of sofas and armchairs, this coffee table exudes a light, exquisite charm, almost as if it were a piece of jewellery.Â
The new interpretation introduces three textured glass tops — clear, smoked and bronze — alongside the timeless clear glass. The vibrant, luminous surfaces interact with the fluid profile of the contoured top, whilst the base unfolds in an elegant zigzag movement that alternates the angles between the top and the floor, evoking the famous vaults of La Pedrera’s ceiling. Available in three finishes, this light and dynamic structure enhances the design’s preciousness and amplifies its sculptural presence.
The Gubi Pedrera coffee table expands the eponymous collection of furnishings and fits naturally into the centre of the living room, where it combines aesthetics and functionality. Perfect as a decorative element or as a surface for serving refreshments, it brings a refined balance of architecture, light and material to interiors.
