Designed in 1952 by Greta M. Grossman and named the “62 Sideboard” because it was considered a decade ahead of its time, this sideboard embodies the designer’s penchant for unexpected shapes and bold combinations of materials. Designed to fit naturally into the living room, hallways or entrance area, it combines functionality with a striking presence, keeping the space elegant, tidy and visually light.
The slender metal legs with ball feet, a hallmark of Grossman’s design language, support the rectangular American walnut body in an almost suspended gesture, defying gravity and lending the piece an iconic character. Its elegance is further enhanced by the deep glossy black finish of the top, alongside the small solid wood balls that add a refined and tactile detail. The sideboard is available in two configurations: six drawers or three drawers and a black door, both capable of bringing a luxurious yet understated touch to any room.
Elegant and functional, the Gubi 62 Sideboard complements the wall of your living room, hallway or entrance hall with ease, bringing with it a charm that lies in the details: in its clean lines, the warmth of the wood, and the careful attention to proportion. A piece designed to store and organise, whilst defining the space with a unique, distinctive style that is built to last.
