The Bistra stool by Gubi, designed by AMDL Circle under the direction of Michele De Lucchi, is conceived as a small sculptural piece of furniture that distils the classic bistro chair down to its purest essence, finding elegance and timelessness in its fundamental structural elements.
The rattan frame unfolds, breaks apart and then reassembles into a sinuous, inviting weave: the three legs extend upwards to form the two small, rounded armrests, all finished with tone-on-tone rattan cord details that enhance the material’s continuity. The padded seat adds comfort and can be customised with plain-coloured or vibrant printed upholstery, transforming each piece into a small gesture of style.
Available in three colour options for the frame and a wide range of fabrics for the upholstery, the Gubi Bistra stool is a versatile collection that blends the traditions of cabinetmaking with refined contemporary craftsmanship. Perfectly versatile for completing the living area, it also finds its natural place as a standalone piece in an intimate vanity corner, where it becomes a distinctive feature.
