Taking its name from the epic poems of antiquity, Gubi’s Epic Outdoor table, designed by GamFratesi, stands out as a piece of furniture with a strong sculptural presence, inspired by Greek columns and Roman architecture. Originally created in Italy in travertine, this iconic design now takes on a new dimension: a version optimised for outdoor use, which preserves its monumental essence whilst expanding its potential applications.
The structure is defined by a round top supported by a central hexagonal base, or by an oval top supported by two hexagonal columns. A pure, rigorous geometry that enhances both the monumentality of the stone and its aesthetic appeal. For the outdoor version, Epic explores a new material direction: botanical green quartzite, chosen for its visual expressiveness and high resistance to the elements. A reinterpretation that renews the material without compromising the iconic strength of the design.
