Designed for GUBI by Linda Korndal’s studio Toko Among Friends, Keen is a modular shelving system that combines architectural precision, formal expressiveness and a surprising ability to adapt. Designed to evolve over time, Keen is an open and dynamic structure, capable of adapting to the user’s needs thanks to its extensive modularity, which allows for the selection of the number of shelves, their arrangement and finishes, creating bespoke solutions for any space.
The system expands vertically and horizontally through an intuitive interplay of rods and brackets that keeps the composition balanced and visually complete at all times, even during expansion. Keen comprises seven main modules, available with a black brass or satin-finish stainless steel frame, and with shelves in cool grey smoked glass or in FSC®-certified dark brown-stained ash and ALPI Sottsass Gray veneer, also FSC®-certified (FSC® C176589). Carefully selected materials that add textural depth, sculptural rhythm and an emotional resonance capable of enhancing domestic environments, hospitality spaces and work settings.
The heart of the project lies in its adaptability: the Gubi Keen shelving system grows with its users, expanding or reconfiguring itself according to the size of the space and needs that change over time. From compact homes to larger dwellings, from hospitality interiors to contemporary offices, Keen accompanies every stage of life, following the user wherever they go and transforming alongside them. A living, flexible system, designed to last and to interact with the architecture through an elegant and timeless presence.
