The Satellite floor lamp by Gubi is one of the brand’s earliest lighting designs created specifically for outdoor use. Inspired by Mathieu Matégot’s original 1953 concept, it retains—seventy years on—a whimsical, modernist and surprisingly contemporary character, capable of adding personality to both private spaces and public outdoor settings.
Its distinctive feature is the ovoid shade in perforated stainless steel sheet, topped by an aluminium cap that directs the light and defines its silhouette. Available in a semi-matt finish in cream white or mustard gold, the perforated shade features an elegant pleated design, creating a refined interplay of light and shadow. In contrast, the black metal base, with its industrial feel, slims the figure and accentuates its sculptural presence.
