Despite its apparent simplicity, Ami Ami is no ordinary chair. It was conceived by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka for Kartell in 2009, with the aim of creating a polypropylene product with an articulated structure. Thus, Ami Ami, presents a workmanship where the plastic seems to be interwoven, like threads of fabric, to create a remarkable and impactful optical effect. This special feature is further enhanced by the colours available, ranging from glossy lacquer to the more unusual transparent ones. This piece of furniture is small in size: 85cm high, 43cm wide and 51cm deep, which makes it perfect in even the most diverse spaces. It can be placed inside a house, perhaps together with other identical pieces in the same or different colours, around a beautiful table or near a low table. But it can also be placed outdoors, thanks to the polypropylene it is made of.
