Xi in Chinese means 'light of dawn', but also 'praise of wisdom'. And when the Xi lamps, designed by Neri & Hu for the Poltrona Frau brand, light up, their soft, full light evokes the early morning sunlight.
The Xi floor lamp by Poltrona Frau consists of a single suspended lantern in blown glass, Extra Large type, which is connected by an "arm" to the support rod in burnished satin-finished steel. The Saddle Extra leather band to which the lighting body is attached continues to the base, covering the rear of the steel upright. The base consists of a circular base in semi-gloss Nero Marquina marble, surmounted by a metal balancing plinth and sheet metal perimeter edging. All metal parts of the base are in satin-burnished finish.
