In 1998, Jasper Morrison created the Glo-Ball T table lamp, which was later produced by the Italian company Flos. In the course of time, it will be taken as inspiration by countless lighting designers.
Glo-Ball T by the Italian company Flos is made using an ancient artisan technique typical of Venetian glassmakers: mouth-blowing. By blowing into a long tube at the end of which is the glass material still at very high temperatures, a swelling is created in the tube, giving rise to a glass bubble like that of Glo-Ball T. Our bubble, made of flashed opal glass, is then painted with an acid-etched finish to create its recognisable bleached matt tone, which allows light to filter through in a special way, creating magical atmospheres. The Bubble is placed on a steel pedestal consisting of a square base and a stem. On the cable there is a dimmer which allows adjustment of the light intensity according to the desired atmosphere.
Glo-Ball T is suitable for every type of environment and situation: from the living room, to the sleeping area, to the dining area, to a sheltered outdoor area, a restaurant entrance, concept store, hotel and wherever there is a desire to impress. Available in five different sizes, it is also suitable for light compositions.
