Originally created for a textile design competition launched in 1947 by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Dot Pattern became the Eameses' most famous motif and a recurring theme throughout their work. The Dot Pattern motif, which became the duo's distinctive symbol, has been reinterpreted in a luminous key thanks to the collaboration with Cassina, which has transformed an idea that had never been realised into a contemporary design object: Dot Pattern Light Cassina.
The wall lamp consists of a painted metal structure, available in black or white, from which four stems of varying lengths branch out perpendicularly. At the ends, four luminous spheres diffuse a warm, soft light, creating evocative halos on the wall and enhancing the environment with a graphic, three-dimensional effect.
