Xilos by Maxalto, a wooden table that synthesises, the essence and conviviality that a table must have, so that all diners can participate without hierarchies. The particular construction of the solid wood support structure, in the shape of a cross, is the clearest sign of how an object can give a sense of robustness. Particular, the inclination of the vertical elements that allow for an abundance in the size of the top, even in a relatively contained support base, resembling four arms outstretched to support a plane.
In the round version, shown in these photos, there is a tray, also circular in shape, for use by all diners of the elements on the table. The marble top is designed and made in segments giving harmony to an important dimension without becoming monotonous and heavy.
