From the Gio Ponti catalogue, Molteni takes famous products by the designer and brings them back with the same timeless charm. This is also the case with the Molteni D.552.2 coffee table: an acrobatics of proportions.
The coffee table is characterised by a precise, elegant architecture that seems endless. Available in one size, the coffee table consists of a triangular, rounded-cornered top in extra-clear glass, supported by solid rosewood legs with satin-finish brass feet. The prominent legs draw a crossover that gives movement to the coffee table, clearly visible from every vantage point from which it is viewed.
The D.552.2 coffee table was designed in the 1950s for the M. Singer&Sons company, one of the most important in New York, as part of a collection destined for the American market. Now Molteni's re-edition brings it back into contemporary homes that retain a classic and sophisticated charm. The Molteni D.552.2 coffee table is positioned as a collector's piece of furniture and, at the same time, as a shelf for decorative objects.
