The Nebula pendant lamp by Italian company Flos was designed in 2007 by Dutch designer and artist Joris Laarman. Always strongly inspired by emerging technologies, with Nebula, he tries to combine experimental design with handcrafted material processing techniques.
The famous pendant lamp is characterised by a central aluminium body which is then covered by 10 blown glass cones of various lengths and openings. Inside each cone is an illuminating system that diffuses light beams onto the glass surfaces. The technique of mouth-blowing glass was invented in Murano (Venice) centuries ago and has remained unchanged ever since, and designer Joris Laarman requested it specifically for the realisation of his project.
With a height of 120cm the Nebula lamp by Italian company Flos is a great idea for a pendant in the corner of the room as well as a table lamp.
