The Nef armchair by the Italian company Emu is the brainchild of designer Patrick Norguet in collaboration with the Made In Italy brand, which combines local craftsmanship with visionary shapes from designers around the world. The Nef seat, together with the rest of the collection, is part of the "Emu Advanced" line. Aluminium, synthetic rope and stainless steel are the materials used to make the iconic chair. The design behind Nef is inspired by the image and components of a hot air balloon. A thin steel tube draws a skeleton free of structural constraints that will house the seat and the comfortable rope backrest. An optional backrest and seat cushion is available to embrace Nef's shape without overpowering it. The cushions are made of acrylic fabric that is highly resistant to outdoor environments. The famous chair was designed not only for its aesthetic value but also for its functionality which allows it to support a load of 200kg.
