The Sciara table was designed by Marella Ferrera for Paola Lenti, a leading company in the high-quality design furniture sector. "Sciara" is the Sicialian term for lava basalt, or more precisely solified magma. Lava stone is a suitable material for the manufacturing of furniture because it is enduring and sturdy, hence it does not require any special maintenance.
The Sciara table by Paola Lenti is a one-of-a-kind item. The tiles decorating the top are carefully handmade one by one. Each tile is made of lava stone, decorated with glass, and then cut by hand. Sciara is ideal for outdoor spaces but is equally suitable for indoor use.
The Sciara table features a stainless steel structure finished délabré, an exclusive finish by De Castelli, and a surface in aluminum honeycomb.
