Created by designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, the Tobi-Ishi table by B&B Italia Outdoor is an iconic dining table with essential shapes that recall the Zen atmosphere typical of Japanese gardens.
The Tobi-Ishi table by B&B Italia Outdoor consists of a round top, which is supported by two vertical trapezoidal bases, which are placed at right angles to each other to create a sculptural and essential figure. The latter has the unique characteristic of constantly taking on a different image, depending on the point of observation and the angle chosen.
The name of the Tobi-Ishi table by B&B Italia Outdoor is a clear reference to the polished stones, called "Tobi-Hoshi", which are used for ornamental purposes in Zen gardens. The table has a concrete top, as do the legs. The attachment plate is made of galvanised sheet metal, while the thermoplastic tips support the entire structure.
