The Tufty-Time sofa by B&B Italia was designed by Patricia Urquiola in 2005. It is proposed as a reinterpretation of the capitonné and Chesterfield figures in a modern key. The reference to traditional quilting can be seen in the square "blocks" that make up the sofa, both in the seat, on the armrests and on the backrest. A recurring pattern with a lowered seat and backrests, this feature is designed not to weigh down the room too much or obstruct the view.
Tufty time is a truly versatile B&B Italia sofa: starting from the square pouff, various compositions can be created: from the classic linear solutions, corner or with chaise longue, to the more unusual ones with peninsulas and islands that allow 360° seating. Tufty time is also renewed in the 2015 version, where the stitching is less pronounced, increasing the comfort of the seat. The compositions are completed by a series of free cushions of various sizes, which slightly raise the seat, allowing you to lean back in a more formal position and offering more support to the lumbar area of the back. Tufty Time is available in a completely removable and washable fabric version in light grey.
The Tufty time sofa with chaise longue by B&B Italia is proposed in the revised 2015 version: the large squares that form the seat are joined with a new folding technique, which contributes to making the sofa more modern from an aesthetic point of view, and certainly more comfortable. The composition is completed by two free back cushions, which have both an aesthetic and functional function, as they provide greater support for the back.
