A historic and iconic model of the Poltrona Frau company, the 1919 armchair takes centre stage when Renzo Frau designed this beautiful piece of furniture for the Duke of Pistoia, Filiberto Emanuele Ludovico di Savoia. The new '1919 Ultime Notizie' version is the result of a partnership between Poltrona Frau and Fornasetti, another brand known worldwide for the design and decoration of original and timeless furnishing objects. The 'Ultime Notizie' motif calls the viewer to an 'active' and imaginative vision, where leather looks like paper and the visual lightness of the print is also an invitation to conceptual lightness.
The 1919 Ultime Notizie armchair takes up the famous Frau capitonnè on the back of the armchair, which gives character and strength to the whole image. A recognisable signature is the saucer that increases the feeling of comfort and relaxation. The supporting frame is made of seasoned solid beech. The finish of the wheels and metal parts can be gold or gunmetal. The upholstery is entirely in Pelle Frau leather, a high-quality material that is very soft to the touch.
The 1919 Ultime Notizie armchair by Poltrona Frau pays tribute to two Made in Italy design icons through a cosy and unique piece of furniture that will steal the eye of every single guest.
