With the Volare Due bed, Poltrona Frau and designer Roberto Lazzeroni reinterpret the balance between tension and suspension already explored in the Volare model. This new version retains the elegance of the original, but without the imposing majesty of a canopy bed, offering a sophisticated visual lightness.
The frame is made of solid ash with a triangular cross-section in a Moka finish, while the bed frame in toulipier wood is entirely upholstered in Cuoio Saddle Extra or Pelle Frau leather, in harmony with the headboard. The latter, a distinctive aesthetic element, is composed of solid beech with internal crossbars in birch plywood and faesite panels. It is fixed to the structure with metal spacers in gunmetal finish, secured by black painted steel plates.
To complete the essential yet refined design, two soft cushions padded with polyester wadding and cotton canvas are attached to the headboard by leather straps. On the front, the straps pass through a refined metal eyelet, while on the back they are fastened with discreet buttons. The upholstery of the cushions, available in Pelle Frau leather or fabric, is embellished with elegant leather piping.
Perfect either for the centre of the room or set against a wall, Volare Due proves to be an oasis of comfort and refinement. A warm and enveloping object, enhanced by the balance of materials, colours and upholstery, capable of transforming space with its discreet yet iconic presence.
