Asymmetrical and without compositional schemes, Foscarini's lamp allows us to draw more and more from the nature and spontaneity of this design object. The table-top or outdoor Gregg rests directly on the desired surface and quietly blends into the atmosphere with its gentle elegance. In the pendant version, it swoops down from the ceiling above the bed or table like a light but safe 'second' moon overhead. In another type, Gregg is planted on the ground like a small lamppost or more simply a flower with a strong metal stem supporting it. The wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted versions are completely fixed to the surface without a visible support and therefore appear on the wall as if they were points of light just born from who knows what source. The Poly Gregg lamp is made of rotationally-moulded polyethylene in white.
