The Kauri Art table by Riva 1920 is a fusion of rare materials, artistic exploration and masterful craftsmanship. A design with a striking visual impact that combines the uniqueness of millennia-old Kauri wood with the expressive power of metal, creating a piece of furniture that transcends mere functionality to become a true work of design.
The round top, crafted from fine solid Kauri wood, showcases the extraordinary beauty of an ancient material, made all the more captivating by its unique grain and the subtle shades that tell a story spanning millennia. Supporting it is a sculptural base composed of numerous rectangular iron elements welded together in a seemingly random manner, with the welds deliberately left exposed to highlight the material’s texture and the craftsmanship involved. The result is a dynamic structure brimming with personality, creating a fascinating contrast between the natural, organic quality of the wood and the contemporary rigour of the metal. The various finishes available also allow the table to be adapted to different stylistic contexts, whilst retaining its core identity.
The Riva 1920 Kauri Art table enhances the dining area with a refined and imposing presence, successfully combining aesthetic appeal with everyday practicality. Its circular shape encourages socialising and conversation, transforming every shared moment into an authentic and engaging experience. The table embodies the Riva 1920 philosophy through its use of extraordinary materials, attention to detail and a design vision that blends heritage, innovation and timeless elegance. A piece destined to become the heart of the space, where the material tells its own story with quiet, natural authority.
