The Paola chair is reissued by the Tacchini brand, starting from Vico Magistretti's historic design that combines tradition and modernity, rigidity and softness. Solidity and lightness come together in a timelessly designed seat.
Paola is made with an ash wood frame, stained walnut or grey, and an upholstered seat covered in fabric or leather. The slightly inclined and curved backrest offers the best support for the back, welcoming the user in an embrace. The slender, linear rear legs undergo a slight helical rotation as they become the backrest supports, giving movement to the geometry of the chair. The front legs are also softened with soft lines at the point where they join the base of the seat.
The Tacchini Paola chair is light and stackable for easy movement, despite its composed and robust appearance. The chair is suitable for sophisticated and cosy domestic environments, where the warmth of wood invites one to carve out a moment for conversation or to gather around a table.
A symbol of the dichotomy present in the work of the Lombard architect, the Tacchini Paola chair combines the artisanal and the modern in a robust yet delicate form.
